Views: 273 Dec 03, 2007 2:44 pm Does FPA and COCOMO really help to estimate software size? # Laxmikant Chitare Hello All, I know this question of mine is too technical to be answered by many in this group. I really wonder if FPA and COCOMO has really helped anyone to estimate the software size and ultimately arrive at the schedule and cost. There can hardly be any usable product which can be developed using single technology (language - to be specific). If it is a web based product, things get worse. Further, project schedule can depend on many other factors like, skill set of the people, domain expertise etc. Frankly when I make the schedule, it is solely based on my domain expertise and judgement. But I would really like to know what other's views are on this. I hope this is helpful for others too. Ashish Belagali, I would appriciate your view on this.
